You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar – Psalm 139:2
Why do we pretend to be someone we are not? Why do we put on masks to impress or try to belong? I often wonder why some people think its okay to live a double life. Why do people portray themselves in different ways and continue to judge others when they do the same thing? Is there such a thing as an artificial christian?
God knows everything we do, say and think. If we think we can get away with certain things, the answer is we can’t. We can’t be fake christians in the public eye and treat people in an inappropriate manner behind the scenes. I honestly start to question people’s actions when such things happen. In this context, the first thing to do is to be yourself; however I disagree as we are sinners with a sinful nature. What we should strive to do is to be like Christ. No one is perfect ; nor should we strive for perfection rather we should strive to be more like him.
I believe that we need to be honest in every way possible.
Remember – “Do to others as you would have them do to you”- Luke 6:31

This is sooo helpful… It’s so easy to want to go with the flow and act all perfect. Rather than admitting our need for Christ.

This was a very good read. Realize that I’m guilty of this. I need to check my heart on my approach to others. No worries I’m always real with you

I think because people like to tell people what to do. So when others do it they want you to do it as well. A strange thing people do, very interesting. Thanks for bringing this up
