Why I love being a 90s kid

Any one born in the early 90s?  Raise your hands…..

There are so many things I love about being a 90s kid – the Nickelodeon shows, the times where the outdoors became our playground and the era where iPhones did not exist, we just had plain old CD players. One thing I always reminisce about with my friends are the tv shows – they were written in such a way the jokes were ACTUALLY funny and were very relatable.

My Top 5 90s Shows

  1. Friends – My favourite character Joey and his favourite line ‘How u doin’?’
  2. Hey Arnold – Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie (2017) answered all our questions and was the best ENDING towards the series!!
  3. Kenan & Kel – Who loves Orange Soda?
  4. Martin- Sheneneh Jenkins
  5. Family Matters

This is not to say that I do not appreciate the 2000s. I remember at the age of 11 living in Brazil and listening to one of Beyoncé’s album on a CD player (i know such a young age to be listening to Beyoncé). There were times where Tv shows became really boring and the first thing I would do is go outside – either swim, ride a bike or play tennis with the wall (Seriously!). Nowadays, we sit on our phones checking social media (because its 2018) instead of taking in the beauty of nature. Ofcourse, if you’re living  in a sub-zero temperature weather right now that would not be ideal.

Always remember there is a world out there that we can explore! Or watch your favourite 90s tv shows (like I do)!

What did you love about the 90s?
